The Medical Committee of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee held its first meeting today, Wednesday, following its formation by the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Haitham Al-Hiyajneh and attended by Prof. Dr. Omar Hindawi, Secretary-General Mr. Moataz Al-Junaidi, and Medical Committee members Mr. Ahmed Hayasat and Ms. Tamara Al-Halayqah.

The Chairman and the Secretary-General expressed their gratitude and welcomed Dr. Al-Hiyajneh for volunteering with the Jordanian Paralympic Committee, wishing him and the members of the Medical Committee success in their efforts.

During the meeting, the following matters were discussed:

• Appointing Ms. Tamara Al-Halayqah as the Secretary of the Medical Committee.
• Assigning tasks to committee members.
• Developing a vision for the committee’s work in the upcoming phase.
• Ensuring the provision of medical supplies for athletes.
• Enhancing medical and physiotherapy equipment in the Paralympic Committee’s clinic.
• Securing physiotherapy staff for both genders.
• Establishing a mechanism for distributing nutritional supplements to athletes.
• Ensuring that medications and treatments provided to athletes are free from banned substances.
