Jordanian Paralympic track and field athlete Ahmad Hindi achieved a remarkable milestone, adding a new chapter to Jordan’s Paralympic sports success by winning the gold medal in the shot put event at the Marrakech International Para Athletics Meeting, held from April 24 to 26.

Hindi delivered an outstanding performance, setting a new personal record that exceeded the mark he achieved at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. His result reflects his continued progress and high readiness for upcoming international competitions.

The championship brought together a distinguished group of elite para-athletes from across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, making the competition highly intense and exciting.

The Jordanian delegation is led by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Vice President of the Jordan Paralympic Committee and Head of the Technical Committee. The delegation also includes national coach Mohammad Al-Hrassis and physiotherapist Ahmad Hayasat.

This achievement comes as part of the Jordan Paralympic Committee’s new strategic direction, led by Prof. Dr. Omar Hindawi and fellow committee members, which aims to strengthen Jordan’s presence in international sporting events and reinforce the prestigious status that Paralympic sports have earned on the global stage.
